Midskinrick Lodge and Camping is situated on 40 acres of selectively cleared land on the southern bank of Baffle Creek. Located 15 km from Rosedale, 70 km from Bundaberg and Agnes Water and 140 km from Gladstone, it is perfectly situated for a relaxing family vacation or to launch your fishing expedition on Baffle Creek.
The Lodge is a modern, spacious unit that can cater for groups up to 11. Great for a large family, reunion , fishing group or special event. Fully self-contained with 3 bedrooms – 2 queens and one with bunks, a double sofa bed in the media room and a queen and single bed in the second lounge. A large kitchen, two lounge areas , a huge media room, two bathrooms, a laundry and plenty of fridge/freezer space makes this fully air-conditioned unit a wonderful place to relax and refresh. The covered outdoor entertaining area has a fireplace and barbeque and the fenced yard is child and pet friendly. The Lodge overlooks our large spring-fed dam and is approx. 500m from the boat ramp. Safe swimming in the dam all year round.
Midskinrick also comprises 2 camping areas – one on the river bank [approx. 10 acres] with 12 large sites – plenty of level, shaded spots. A small amenities block has septic toilet, a shower room suitable for a solar shower bag [bring your own], drinking water and sink. A second toilet block has 2 septic toilets. These sites are unpowered, however inverter generators are permitted 8am to 8pm. Concrete boat ramp onto the creek.
The second area nestles around our spring-fed dam. Powered and unpowered sites here with a camp kitchen, septic toilet, drinking water, sink and hot shower [$1]. All sites have views of the dam – turtles to feed, jetty, sandy access.
Alternate Accommodation Option – camping experience without the hassle of setting up. We have refurbished some retro caravans as sleeping quarters. All have an outdoor area, shaded position, bbq, power, close to septic toilets. Prices in the tariff section. Photos in the gallery.
While Baffle Creek is renowned as the ‘Home of the Mangrove Jack’, most fish species, prawns and crabs are also caught. This picturesque, unspoilt river system is also popular with kayakers.
